ABOUT US

Here you will find a brief history of Shelly and The Barndogs up until this point in time. Some of the dates, as well as the lengths of time, may be inaccurate, but none of the names have changed. Not yet anyhow, we're still waiting on the results of that trial, but anyways...if you want more details ask us at a gig.

Sometime in 2001, Shelly Krebs (vocals & percussion), Andy Comstock (bass & vocals), and Mark Westers (guitars & vocals), decided to form a new project. They had been playing together in a band called "Electric Blue" and when that project ended, they decided it was time for something new. Andy knew a keyboardist, John Kap (white boy and the wagon burners, rip chords), and asked him to come over and jam. John instantly became the 4th of a 5-piece puzzle. The foursome played acoustically and then with several different drummers until, in 2002, John called his good friend, drummer Pete Szymanski (bone china, various others) and the band was complete. It was really that simple. The varied experiences of these 5 has jelled into a show full of Rock-n-Roll Rhythm and Harmony.
